232-Mile ‘Hike the Pipe’ to Protest LNG Pipeline Starts Saturday
This Saturday, August 22, a group of activists who also oppose the LNG plant are starting a nearly month-long, 232-mile hike in protest along the proposed pipeline route. ‘Hike the Pipe’ starts in Malin—a tiny town located Southeast of Klamath Falls, just north of the Oregon-California border—and crosses the state to Coos Bay, with events planned along the way. A core group of five to 10 hikers will participate in the full hike, with opportunities to join them for day hikes and kayaking protests along the way.

Listen to Sandra Bland!
“…How many more young people are going to be killed for walking in the street, failing to signal a lane shift, looking a police officer in the eye, or playing with a toy gun? How many more names of Black men, women and young people will join the list of those whose deaths have sparked widespread protests: Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown, Eric Garner, Tamir Rice, Freddie Gray, Renisha McBride, Aiyana Jones and Sakia Gunn, among many others – and now, Sandra Bland. “
We CAN make a difference.
“The Republicans have spent billions to convince you not to vote. And the Democrats have spent billions trying to convince you they are different from the Republicans. But this IS NOT A TWO PARTY SYSTEM! Do not drink the Kool-Aid. We can shine with Stein!”
Revolutionary Moments…
Bill Clinton, Al Gore, George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, Henry Kissinger, Bernie Sanders, Don Trump, Elizabeth Warren and dim Donald Trump the racist and sexist chump… are ALL on the same page when it comes to Gaza, wars of choice, capitalism and the military-industrial complex.
Jacobin Magazine: Supreme Court may not be on our side
“The only “reasonable consensus” that the Supreme Court can produce is inherently anti-democratic.”
“Everybody has been Trumped, tricked, trickled-on and lied to.”
“We, the public, are told the peace officers we hired to protect and serve are so afraid, cowardly and terrified that we must let them shoot first and ask questions later. I don’t buy it. We deserve better. And we should continue to take it to the streets until we can safely occupy our communities and live in peace.”
