Real World Dreams…
There is no land of ideological purity… And there’s no perfect candidate.
But we can all live in the real world and mostly get along.
Some prefer to pretend that corporate candidates will not pursue dozens of avoidable wars for profit and American military expansion. And they like to think that ongoing wars, drone murders and illegal assassinations will just go away.
But reality persists and the two clowns we are looking at are Hillary Hawk and Donald Chump.
(please clean off your glasses)
Clinton and Trump share remarkably similar military ambitions. Their platforms include ongoing wars, profiteering, invasions and unnecessary wars of aggression against increasing numbers of smaller and less powerful nations. They intend to use drones known to kill an average of fifty innocents per strike. Both candidates agree that, as president, they will retain Obama’s “Choice”: murdering anyone, anywhere, any time, for any reason or without providing any reason at all.
(Even if sometimes this kills innocent Americans.)
This new, lethal and lawless American Fascism seems palatable to perhaps 25% or less of Democrats and 35% or less of Republicans. But between 65 and 75% of the electorate is ready for a third party. And with the Green New Deal, peace is secured and investors will begin funding construction projects, jobs with Justice, all over America.
We can use the trillions formerly wasted on needless aggression, for repairing infrastructure: restoring civil liberties and social services including universal non-profit health care, functioning schools and universities where all Americans are entitled to four years of college in this interconnected time of transition. And generations of students will be relieved of all student debt…
If you like the sound of peace and progress, it’s time to realize that ideological acrobatics which allow unending wars need to become history. If we wake up the American people, we can persuade them to get their heads out of the corporate sandbox, The only reason the 1% continue to misuse resources and cost American lives and honour, is because we let them.
When we all live in the real world, we will throw the pro-war contrarians out of office and elect people who represent our best interests.
Surrendering to being tricked and trickled-on is degrading.
We can do better. The trickle-down theory is dead. The lesser-evil theory has been debunked. It’s Wakeup Time,, and We Can Shine with Stein.
Peace and Human Rights:
Establish a foreign policy based on diplomacy, international law, and human rights. End the wars and drone attacks, cut military spending by at least 50% and close the 700+ foreign military bases that are turning our republic into a bankrupt empire. Stop U.S. support and arms sales to human rights abusers, and lead on global nuclear disarmament.
Empower the People:
Abolish corporate person-hood. Protect voters’ rights by establishing a constitutional right to vote. Enact electoral reforms that break the big money stranglehold and create truly representative democracy: public campaign financing, ranked-choice voting, proportional representation, and open debates.
“If you are tired of wage theft, slave labor and working poverty… abandon the corporate cons and war-profiteers who have brought us twenty seven unnecessary wars, joblessness, and recession while sacrificing the peace to please munitions contractors. It is time to stand firm.”
This next election, we must send messages, write letters, provide options, explore solutions, communicate, inform, educate and organize for winning tactics which allow everyday people to take back the nation.
