“Our country is broke. It’s not broke in 75 years or 50 years or 25 years or 10 years. It’s broke today,” he told the Senate Budget Committee. “Indeed, it may well be in worse fiscal shape than any developed country, including Greece.”

“…In reality we’re facing a fiscal gap of $210 trillion, Kotlikoff proclaimed. That’s 16 times larger than official U.S. debt, “which indicates precisely how useless official debt is for understanding our nation’s true fiscal position,” he noted, and almost 12 times the current GDP of $18 trillion.
“For all its much-touted recovery, the USA is bankrupt: its liabilities exceed its assets. America’s $16.5-trillion debt now stands at 73 percent of annual GDP, not counting internal debts, such as the depleted Social Security trust fund.
According to the Congressional Budget Office, the debt is on course to reach 93 percent within 10 years and nearly 200 percent in 25 years. Only Weimar-style hyperinflation would then be able to manage the debt, but the treatment would be even worse than the disease.”

“Available economic, educational, and military data indicate that, when it comes to U.S. global power, negative trends will aggregate rapidly by 2020 and are likely to reach a critical mass no later than 2030. The American Century, proclaimed so triumphantly at the start of World War II, will be tattered and fading by 2025, its eighth decade, and could be history by 2030.“

Now we are at a tipping point.
After 36 years of aggression, spending trillions, killing millions, creating more enemies and making us less safe… everyday people in America have failing schools, decreased incomes, jobs shipped overseas, deteriorating infrastructure and crippled human services. And America is understood to be the primary exporter of munitions and terror on the planet. The United States is now defined, globally, as a nation whose economy is based on destabilization, attacks, invasion, occupation, exploitation and avoidable wars for profit against smaller and less powerful nations.
This nation has become the terror.
And we have allowed this to happen.

Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump are reading from the same page. They advocate eight more years of simultaneous and expanding wars, thousands of avoidable drones and more troubling presidential assassinations. Now that murder without trial the new American “justice, ” we have created millions of new enemies and are demonstrably less secure. These unprovoked wars of aggression will bankrupt the nation before 2030.
This house of cards will fall.
This surrender to unprovoked aggression will bankrupt the nation and cripple the planet. It’s later than you think, and it’s wake-up time.
There is only one candidate offering peace and progress.
Her name is Jill Stein and she offers the Green New Deal.
Jill Stein and the Green Party may not be perfect in every respect, but she and the Greens GET the necessity of an independent political movement to challenge the duopoly.
“Stein is currently endorsed for President in 2016 by Noam Chomsky, a linguist, author and activist, and by Chris Hedges, a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and war correspondent, among others. She is as real as it gets.”
