You can vote for someone who represents you instead of being forced to choose between corporate cons and profiteers. This next election, 75% of the American people support a third party. So the time is ripe. If 75% of us insist, the debates will be opened up. There is a case in court right now to do just that!
“The commission on presidential debates (CPD) has moderated the 1988, 1992, 1996, 2000, 2004, 2008, and 2012 debates and excluded all candidates except the corporate cons. Why does a private corporation control public debates about public elections in a so-called Democratic Republic?
We are getting conned.
Prior to this, the League of Women Voters moderated the 1976, 1980, 1984 debates before the League withdrew from the position as debate moderator with this statement after the 1988 Presidential debates:
“the demands of the two campaign organizations would perpetrate a fraud on the American voter.”
The Commission was then taken over by the Democratic and Republican parties forming today’s version of the CPD.”
Instead of allowing this fraud to continue, we can put the League of Women Voters back in charge and let the American people hear real people talk about real issues instead of letting corporate cons run the show and exclude the people who actually represent the voters.
“During the last week of September, 2012, three sponsors withdrew their sponsorship of the 2012 debates for not including third parties: BBH New York, YWCA USA and Philips Electronics.”
It is time to restore democracy in America… before it’s too late to save ourselves from cons on both sides of the corporate aisle. These profiteers insist on forcing the American people into unending wars, misusing American troops in avoidable conflicts to enforce the ambitions of the oil and munitions cartels: spending trillions, killing millions and making us less secure.
We do not have to take it any more. Lets do the right thing and put the League of Women Voters back in charge and tell the profiteers, cons and political hacks to take a flying leap.
When you vote for evil, do not be surprised if that’s what you get.
“The only way to deal with an unfree world is to become so absolutely free that your very existence is an act of rebellion.”
