Vol. XXXVI, Number 1 January 2016

On Thursday, December 31st 2015 at 11:30 am, hundreds gathered at Portland City Hall to protest the reinstatement of Officer Ron Frashour.
This PDX Police officer violated state and federal laws as well as PDX Police Bureau Manuel of Policy and Procedure guidelines when he approached an ongoing police investigation, did not check with the officer in charge, and then picked up his AR-15 assault rifle and shot Aaron Campbell in the back on January 29, 2010.
The Oregon Court of Appeals has ordered the city of Portland to rehire this rash and insubordinate officer, whose itchy trigger finger cost the life of an unarmed man. Aaron Campbell, at the time he was shot, was in compliance with the orders of the officer in charge of the scene. He was not armed and posed no threat. The officers who had been at the scene for some time had everything under control, but Frashour said he was so scared, that he decided to take it upon himself to shoot Aaron in the back.

“Coretta Scott King: “We have done what we can to reveal the truth, and we now urge you as members of the media, and we call upon elected officials, and other persons of influence to do what they can to share the revelation of this case to the widest possible audience.”

Update on the Sandra Bland Murder:
Nobody is held accountable for the death of Sandra Bland: And we all lose!
Cannon Lambert, a lawyer for the Bland family, called the grand jury proceedings a “sham of a process,”
and that family members first learned there was no indictment through news reports.
“We would like very much to know what in the heck they’re doing, who they’re targeting and if it has anything to do with Sandy and her circumstances,” Lambert told The New York Times Monday night.
The trial is scheduled for January 2017.
