Sam Cooke – A Change Is Gonna Come (Official Lyric Video)
Multinational corporations have paid mainstream media in America to convince everyday people that they “have to support” spending trillions and killing millions for the corporate bottom line.
But this is not U. S. “Foreign Policy,”
this is U. S. Fascism in action.
Overt aggression, destabilization, attacks, bombings, invasions, occupations and exploitation are not “policy,” these are crimes. A candidate only needs a “nomination” when representing those who are committed to wars for profit. Capitalism is an ancient term for a geopolitical and economic theory which doesn’t exist in real life anywhere on the planet. And we cannot “ease suffering” by endorsing and supporting unending aggression, violence and murders. Where have we tucked away our values? How can we accept these rationalizations, lies and propaganda as “truths?”
History speaks and we cannot continue down this road.
This is a time to face facts, not to apologize for treason. We can only repair infrastructure, rebuild the nation, restore human services and put an end to the export of terror, munitions and war…. by refusing to surrender our principles and values.
The cure for fear is courage. We have been under attack for decades by these military industrial tools. But there are more of us than they’re are of them. And it is time to stand up and fight back instead of surrendering.
Misguided militarists have convinced too many of us that we are powerless and no resistance is possible.
But there are revolutionary changes at work. We can shut down 49 wars of choice and reinvest trillions in rebuilding a nation, restoring integrity and creating a sustainable future for our families and children:
“A coalition is building: 31 million Americans who want health care, 40 million Americans who want their student debt erased. 70 million students want the opportunity for free K-16 education. 5 million Americans who lost their homes to banks. 3 million Americans used and abused in corporate wars of choice. And 80% of Americans who are in debt and tired of seeing banks bailed out and Main Street sold out. A change is coming and the revolution has begun.“
If we want real change, we must continue our struggle with words, ideas, music and art.
These struggles must occur in the streets, in marches, rallies and revolutionary acts in our homes, lives, and in the voting booth. “Settling” for lesser evils is a real bad idea. Especially when we have been presented with a greater good.
We can bring a Green revolution of ideas, principles and actions into the streets, the White House, and congress. We must allow these ideas to sweep across the nation and turn the ship of state. Wars for profit are not sustainable. As long as Bernie, Hillary, Donald and Joe continue flogging that dead horse… we are headed for bankruptcy and environmental disaster.
The Millionaire’s Glee Club must not prevail.
Dr. Jill Stein did not offer platitudes or empty promises. She understands the issues and delivers real and attainable answers. The only way we can move from exporting terror, munitions and war to the export of knowledge, technology and peace… is to face facts and stop pretending.
In 2024, victory is within our grasp.
“Just being slightly less worse than the worst possible scenario is not acceptable. We have to be willing to stand up and throw off those chains of powerlessness. In the words of Alice Walker, ‘the biggest way people give up power is by not knowing they have it.’ We have it.”
~Dr. Jill Stein
“Our strategy should be not only to confront empire, but to lay siege to it. To deprive it of oxygen. To shame it. To mock it. With our art, our music, our literature, our stubbornness, our joy, our brilliance, our sheer relentlessness – and our ability to tell our own stories. Stories that are different from the ones we’re being brainwashed to believe. The corporate revolution will collapse if we refuse to buy what they are selling – their ideas, their version of history, their wars, their weapons, their notion of inevitability. Remember this: We be many and they be few. They need us more than we need them. Another world is not only possible, she is on her way. On a quiet day, I can hear her breathing.”
