David Ackerman – Ackerman, nicknamed ‘The Ack,” is a dishwasher and a band photographer. His website lists hobbies including “occasionally running for mayor of Portland.”
Jules Bailey – Currently a Multnomah County Commissioner, Bailey pledged to cut homelessness in half by the end of his first term. He is widely seen as the biggest threat to Ted Wheeler.

Sarah Iannarone – The only female candidate in the race so far filed for candidacy Jan. 21. Iannarone owns the Arleta Library Bakery Café and is the assistant program director at First Stop Portland. Her boss at First Stop is current Mayor Charlie Hales’ wife, Nancy.
Trevor Manning – Manning lists his occupation as Equity and Advocacy Network Intern at Concordia University.
David Schor – The self-proclaimed democratic socialist is currently an Assistant Attorney General for the Oregon Department of Justice.
Jessie Sponberg – Sponberg is an activist and Portland native who is running on environmental stewardship and social justice platforms.
Ted Wheeler – The current frontrunner is Oregon’s State Treasurer. Wheeler has garnered support from multiple former Portland mayors and has raised the most money of any candidate so far.
