About Class Struggle Action Network
Who We Are The Class Struggle Action Network (CSAN) is a network of militant workers across industries and sectors who share principles of class unionism. Our purpose is to strengthen the defense of the working class by gathering dispersed forces, which enables us to develop common initiatives across unions and struggles. We do this by creating communication channels and forums where class unionists can meet, share news, and discuss and develop strategy and tactics. Members of the network work together to initiate cross union activity such as picket line solidarity, promoting joint demonstrations, events, and more. CSAN does not aim to become its own union. It works to unite class unionists across unions and struggles. The development of this base can only strengthen opposition to the prevailing regime unionism. CSAN does not compete with leftist groups for membership or status. Our goal is to make a meaningful contribution to strengthening the collective fighting capacity of the working class, by providing a forum and space for these militants to connect. CSAN is not an organ of any particular political perspective or party. All class unionist workers are welcome, no matter their political orientation. CSAN Principles -Organized by Workers, for Workers’ Defensive Struggle Membership is open to workers both inside and outside of the unions, across industries and sectors, who wish to coordinate their activities within the class struggle. -Solidarity and Unity of Action CSAN prioritizes physically uniting struggles, strikes, and demonstrations. We must broaden our individual workplace struggles into the general struggle of the working class itself. -Unity in Struggle We advance unifying, class based demands while opposing those that divide workers. We reject any stated “end to a strike” until proposals have been shared and voted on. -Picket Lines Mean Do Not Cross We recognize the strike as one of the most important weapons of the working class. We reject the confines of the existing trade union legal framework, which attempts to limit workers’ ability to strike. Picket lines must be respected! -Independent Class Interest Workers have no common cause with either the Democratic or Republican Party. We oppose all electoralism, recognizing that only through class struggle can workers defend their interests. -Opposition to Imperialist War The capitalist class drive towards imperialist war presents an immediate threat to workers across the world.

Speaking Truth to Power

We encourage everyone to Rise Up In Solidarity for social & economic justice this May Day. Together we can build a movement to take back our communities.
Originally a celebration of the coming of summer, May Day became part of labor movement fighting for an eight-hour day in the 1800s. On this day, over a hundred years ago, workers organized to demand fair labor conditions.
Today, working people are still denied basic rights, as many live in poverty, endure houselessness, food insecurity, and lack of access to health care. As we approach May Day in 2015, we recognize how immigration status, race, ethnicity, gender identity, access to education, and other personal realities intersect and affect the way workers experience a range of injustices. This year our call is to reflect on the differences, find common ground, and
Rise Up In Solidarity!

Our response to this onslaught against humanity is to organize and FIGHT BACK!!
People Over Profit !
We’ve also got some wonderful speakers and music.
Great organizations will be tabling.
And then we’ll march along our route together
yelling our chants, making our voices heard.
